wake surfing

I have a friend who's into kite surfing lately. I thought that it is kind of interesting and exciting. I'm not considering of trying it out though - too hefty for me to deal with. But for all of you out there who are very much into extreme sports, wake surfing is just but another sport you should not miss out especially if you love to stay by the beach.

Wake surfing is where you use a wake surfboard to ride the wake behind a boat. The wake mimics a wave in the ocean, hence the reference to surfing. What is a wake by the way? It is the wave that spreads behind a boat as it moves forward. According to them, wake surfing isn’t completely like surfing. While the wake can still be fun to rip, there’s nothing like paddling into an 8ft barrel. Did i catch your attention now?

There are five major types of wake surfboards namely: fish, thruster, pod, single fin egg and mini-longboard. Wake surfing is surely another fun and exciting sport to try. Maybe i should tell my friend to try this out too!
